FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We offer a distinctive fusion of Physiotherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), providing a comprehensive approach that addresses both the underlying cause and the symptoms of your condition.
Benefits of Our Approach:
- Comprehensive Care. Physiotherapy is designed to restore movement and function, while TCM seeks to rebalance the body through acupuncture, cupping, and herbal remedies.
- Accelerated Recovery. The integration of both therapies expedites healing, alleviates pain, and enhances long-term outcomes, making it particularly effective for chronic pain, injuries, and stress-related conditions.
- Bespoke Treatment Plans. Each treatment is individually tailored, combining Western diagnostic approaches with Eastern healing philosophies to ensure the most effective approach for your unique needs.
- Prevention & Wellness. Our focus extends beyond immediate treatment; we are committed to preventing future issues and enhancing overall well-being.
By adopting this integrative East-meets-West methodology, we treat the whole person, not merely the symptoms.
No referral is required; you are welcome to book an appointment with us directly. However, please be aware that some insurance providers may stipulate a referral for claims purposes, so we recommend confirming this with your insurer beforehand.
For your first visit, we recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (activewear is ideal).
Please also bring any relevant medical reports, such as X-rays, MRIs, or referral letters, to assist with your assessment.
Your initial session, lasting between 30 to 45 minutes, will include:

- The development of a personalised treatment plan
Subsequent treatment sessions are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute durations.
Many insurance providers offer coverage for Physiotherapy and/or TCM services. We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm the specifics of your coverage.
Our licensed practitioners will be able to assist you with the necessary documentation to support your claims.
Most clients experience little to no downtime following treatment. However, depending on the nature of your condition and the specific treatment used, you may be advised to rest briefly or avoid strenuous activity immediately after treatment.
In many cases, you can continue with physical activity while undergoing treatment, but we recommend discussing your exercise routine with our practitioner. They will provide guidance on the best approach to ensure your recovery is not hindered.
Our treatments are generally well-tolerated. Some treatments, such as acupuncture or deep tissue mobilisation, may cause mild discomfort, but this is typically temporary. Our practitioners will adjust the treatment to your comfort level and communicate with you throughout to ensure you feel safe and supported.
Yes, all treatments are administered by licensed and experienced practitioners. Safety is paramount, and all techniques are evidence-based and tailored to your individual needs to ensure the highest level of care. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during treatment.
The number of sessions required varies depending on your condition and individual response to treatment. After your initial assessment, our physiotherapists and TCM physicians will provide a personalised treatment plan outlining the recommended number of sessions.
The frequency of treatment will depend on the nature of your condition and your treatment plan. Initially, treatments may be more frequent, with the schedule gradually adjusting as progress is made. Our practitioners will advise you on the most suitable frequency during your assessment.
